Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel with City Views

Once you land, your driver/guide meets you and offers a warm welcome to Uganda. Proceed to your lodging, perched on Buziga Hill, offering sweeping sights of Lake Victoria. If time permits, you can head out for a short city viewing experience.
Overnight: Cassia Lodge (includes all meals and bottled water; other drinks not included)

Day 2: Journey to Murchison Falls National Park (Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary En Route)

Your guide picks you up for the drive to Uganda’s largest national park—Murchison Falls. Along the way, pause at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to observe these animals during a one-hour guided walk. Enjoy a midday meal in Masindi before continuing to your lodge. Murchison Falls is known for its thunderous waterfall, plains teeming with wildlife (lions, giraffes, buffalo, elephants), and an abundance of bird species, including the shoebill stork and Goliath heron.
Overnight: Pakuba Lodge (mid-range, within Murchison Falls NP; all meals and bottled water included)

Day 3: Morning Wildlife Drive and Boat Excursion on the Victoria Nile

After breakfast, head out early across the park’s rolling plains. Keep watch for lions, giraffes, and elephants, among others. Return to your lodge for lunch, then board an afternoon boat trip along the Victoria Nile, culminating at the base of the falls. Hippos, crocodiles, and waterfowl are abundant. For those eager, a hike up to the top of the falls is available. Later, unwind at the lodge.
Overnight: Pakuba Lodge (mid-range, all meals and bottled water included)

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park, Bigodi Wetland Visit

Depart in the morning for Kibale National Park, with a midday stop in Fort Portal and possible views of the Rwenzori range. Upon arrival, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a walk, spotting birds, butterflies, and maybe a few primates. Enjoy dinner and rest in the vicinity of the forest.
Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (mid-range, tented accommodations; all meals and bottled water included)

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Begin with a briefing before trekking to see the renowned chimpanzees of Kibale. This forest hosts more primate species than any other in East Africa, such as red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, and more. After observing these close relatives (they share about 98% of human DNA), continue with a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp for further primate and bird viewing.
Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (mid-range, all meals and bottled water included)

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, relax or enjoy the surroundings before traveling to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located between Lake Edward and Lake George. This park features gazelles, warthogs, waterbucks, elephants, lions, and more. An afternoon wildlife drive is planned to look for classic savannah animals, and you may spot a leopard on a lucky day.
Overnight: Buffalo Safari Lodge (mid-range, just outside Queen Elizabeth NP; all meals and bottled water included)

Day 7: Early Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Trip

Set out at dawn for a wildlife drive, catching activity in the cooler hours and possibly spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, and warthogs. Later, go on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George to Lake Albert. Expect to see hippos in large numbers, crocodiles, waterbirds, and other species coming to drink along the banks. Return via a short drive back through the park in the evening.
Overnight: Buffalo Safari Lodge (mid-range, all meals and bottled water included)

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha Sector

Depart after breakfast, passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for lions that climb fig trees. Sightings vary, but there is a fair chance to see these lions perched above the savannah. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s trek.
Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Camp (mid-range, near Bwindi NP; all meals and bottled water included)

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Rise early for a pre-trek briefing, then venture into Bwindi’s dense forest. Tracking can last from a short half-hour up to several hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find them, enjoy up to one hour of observation time, watching the interactions of these gentle giants. After lunch and a brief rest, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, dotted with 29 small islands and embraced by green hills.
Overnight: Heritage Lodge Habuharo (mid-range, on/near Lake Bunyonyi; all meals and bottled water included)
