Day 2: Head to Gulu via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Following breakfast, depart toward Kidepo Valley NP, with a scheduled overnight stop in Gulu Town to break up the long drive. Along the way, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking excursion on foot. After lunch, continue admiring the terrain and rural homesteads until reaching Gulu for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 3: Drive to Kidepo and Evening Wildlife Drive

Have breakfast and embark on a 3–4-hour ride to Kidepo Valley National Park. Look out for scenic hills, seasonal streams, and local manyatas en route. After lunch at your lodge, set out on an evening drive to watch giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, and others. Conclude the day with dinner and relaxation at the lodge.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Kidepo

Begin early with a morning drive in the park, searching for a range of species such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, oribis, and elephants. Return for lunch, followed by a later drive in different sectors of the park to observe wildlife going back to their resting zones. Dinner and overnight at the same lodge.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Karamajong Community Tour

After breakfast, set off to Narus Valley, a key spot for water-dependent wildlife like lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and various bird species (e.g., ostriches, Kori bustards, and more). Return for lunch, then proceed to visit the Karamajong people. Engage in learning about local homesteads (manyattas), family traditions, music, and dance. Come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Have breakfast and depart Kidepo, heading to Murchison Falls. Witness farmlands and rolling scenery along the way. On entering the park, stop at the top of the falls to appreciate the powerful surging water. Afterwards, continue to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Morning Wildlife Drive & Afternoon Boat Ride

Set off early for a savannah drive, hoping to find lions, leopards, hyenas, plus herds of buffaloes, giraffes, and other game. Return for lunch at the lodge, then head to Paraa jetty for a boat tour on the Nile toward the base of the falls. This offers sights of hippos, crocodiles, wading birds, and wildlife on the riverbanks. Wrap up the day back at the lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Drive to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, leave Murchison Falls for Kibale in western Uganda. Enjoy scenic views of villages, Rwenzori Mountains, and crater lakes. Stop for lunch en route, arriving by evening. Check in for dinner and overnight near Kibale Forest.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Trek & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Chimpanzee Trek:
Following an early breakfast, join a briefing at the park station before trekking into Kibale Forest. The walk may last from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location. You could also spot other primates like red-tailed monkeys and black-and-white colobus. Enjoy an hour observing chimp behavior, feeding habits, and social bonds, then return to meet your guide.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP:
After lunch, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, pass crater lakes and tea estates. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Morning Wildlife Drive or Lion Tracking & Boat Ride

Kick off the day early with a drive in Kasenyi plains. Expect sightings of buffaloes, Uganda kobs, elephants, and possibly lions or hyenas. Alternatively, you may opt for a specialized lion tracking activity (if arranged). Return for lunch, then proceed to Kazinga Channel for a two-hour boat trip, observing hippos, crocodiles, and myriad bird species along the shores. Head back for dinner at your lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha

Have breakfast, then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable NP through the Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions relaxing in fig trees. After a short drive to spot them, resume traveling to Bwindi. Upon arrival, settle in for dinner and a quiet night before gorilla trekking.

Day 12: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi

Begin with an early meal, then go to the ranger station for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. You’ll hike into the forest in search of a habituated gorilla group, which can take 30 minutes to several hours. Once located, spend one hour watching them interact, feed, and rest. Return to the park headquarters to rejoin your driver-guide and head back to your lodge for dinner.

Day 13: Head to Lake Bunyonyi & Afternoon Boat Ride

After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its depth and 29 small islands. After checking in and lunch, take a leisurely boat tour to see the islands and enjoy surrounding views. Return later for dinner and a night’s rest.
