Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the first day of this 6 Days Uganda Gorilla, Cultural, and Wildlife Safari, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or designated location, give a briefing on the trip, and then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwestern part of Uganda. During the drive, there will be a stop at the Equator for a memorable photo session and a water experiment. Proceed to Mbarara town for a midday meal, then continue straight to Bwindi. Arrival is in the late evening, followed by check-in at your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Begin the second day with an early breakfast and packed lunch. Your driver-guide will take you to the meeting point for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. A park ranger then leads you through the forest trails in search of an allocated gorilla group. Trekking can last anywhere between two and seven hours, depending on where these primates are located.

Once they are found, you have one hour to observe their day-to-day habits—feeding, playing, and interacting in their natural habitat. This is also the ideal time to take photographs and record videos. Return in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Cultural Tour and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, meet your driver-guide for a cultural excursion to interact with the Batwa pygmies. Learn about their way of life, visit their homes, and watch their traditional performances. Following the community tour, head back to the lodge for lunch and check out. Depart for Lake Bunyonyi, known as Africa’s second-deepest lake. Upon reaching the lake area, settle into your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

You may choose to relax for the remainder of the afternoon or join an optional visit to the neighboring communities to learn more about local customs.
